1977-Germany. Hello, my name's Mike Sexton & I'm a digital painter/artist who loves to paint wildlife images as well as fantasy & mythological scenes; I try to blend a touch of the new style along with the classic look and feel in everything I paint or design.

| About the Artist |
I'm self-taught digital artist living in America; I've been drawing/sketching since I was a kid and even designed my own special touch to my school folders back when I was in school- yea I was always a bit different hehe. I love to paint wildlife scenes especially of big cats & birds & wolves but I am also a tremendous lover of Egyptian art and I style some of those as well as dragon and griffon paintings. |

Gateway to Hall of Truth
2006 25 x 20 |
|
This is a lovely depiction of what an Egyptian might have come across once they passed away; they believed very strongly in the afterlife and you had to face a series of perils in order to get to the final destination-this is the gateway to the hall of truth where your heart was weighed against the Ma'at feather to see if you were worthy of the afterlife. |
Night Owl
2006 Digital Painting 25 x 20 |
|
I love owls, all birds really but with this painting I focused on an owl coming right at their prey with a beautiful wooded scene behind him. |
Egyptian Room
2006 digital painting 25 x 20 |
|
I read up on the ancient Egyptians and this scene came to mind of what a classic middle-class room might have looked like in ancient Egypt. |
Maker of Scribes
2006 digital 20 x 25 |
|
Thoth was a major God in Egyptian antiquity- he was the god of scribes, writing & the moon and as such, I have painted this beautiful image of Thoth in front of a wonderfully crafted temple creating a new magical papyrus. |
Temple Anubis
2007 digital painting 20 x 25 |
|
My 1st new Anubis painting in quite some time; here he is kneeling in front of a temple dedicated to him with a beautiful mastaba- the forerunner to the pyramid design-- in the background. |

| Education and biography |
I am self-taught as I said but am always trying out new techniques to improve my own work; I do design for my own online stores as well as design websites to help an artist make ends meet.
