My personal research rotates around themes like “tiredness”, “suspension”, “relationships” I like to inquire feelings with particular respect to the loosers. The tecnique of my images is often black & white infrared negative film printed on transparent lith film, then I immerse the large format slide in several subsequent layers of polyester resin that I force to break and burn till I’m satisfied, to obtain a solid block of resin with the image inside like a fossil. Than my exibits are usually in dark spaces only lighted by the “photo-sculptures”. |

| Claudio Martinez born in Rome, Italy, in 1968, where he actually lives and works. In 1988 he got the certificate as photoreporter and still photographer at the “State Institute for Cinematography and Television” Roberto Rossellini – Rome. 1997 personal exhibit “Not a Peculiar Mood” cultural center “Controchiave” – Rome 1999 personal exhibit “Tired – contemporary fossils” art gallery “La Corte di Boboli” – Rome 1999 group exhibit “The Dream, The Color, The Sign” public library “Al Hassad” – Damasco 2000 personal exhibit “Tired – contemporary fossils” “Palazzo Patrizi” – Siena 2004 published the photo book “For Bread Alone” photos from the movie directed by Rachid Benhadj on the life of the writer Mohammed Choukri. 2005 personal exhibit and video-art in collaboration with the sinphonic orchestra “Panharmonikon” and the cultural centre “Linux Club” – Rome 2005 group exhibit video-sculpture “Ludica” art gallery “A.K.A.” – Rome 2005 group exhibit video-sculpture “Childhood” art gallery “Cube” – Venice 2005 group exhibit “Rouille et Resìne” art gallery “Nomades” – Rome 2006 group exhibit "Don't Sleep!
