My fisrt show in New York celebrated Brazil´s colonial heritage.But the dynamism and diversity of New York City led me to create cityscapes that captured my new hometown special quality.I use many references-politics, pop cultures and "quotes"from great painters of the past to make my New York vivid and alive. |

| New York is the capital of the movies nowadays. Nothing escapes my vision of what is happening in the city. Therefore to do films in the subway it is very common and I captured with my art one of those moment. |

| College educated.Studied movie making for three years with a famous Argentinian movie director.From 1974 to 1980 stayed with The Fabian Gallery.From 1980 to 1984 with Zoma Gallery in New York and Galerie Jean-Pierre Lavignes in Paris. At the same time I showed in Tokyo at Seibu Gallery and was represented in Osaka by an Japoneze art dealer for many years. From 1984 to 1986 I showed with John Szoke Gallery and also at The Duke University and The Alabama Museum of Art. l986 I joined The Uptown Gallery with whom I stay to this date. In between group shows and one man shows I had exhibitions at The Municipal Art Society and The New-York Historical Society. | |
