Born in London in 1964, I studied painting at Nigeria's foremost art university - ABU Zaria, graduating as the best final year student in 1986. Having begun a vibrant artistic career in Nigeria in the mid 1980s, Hassan returned to the UK in 1990. Working as a Market Data Trading Systems Engineer at UBS Investment Bank during the day, I work in my studio in my spare time. |

My work deals with issues of racial identity and multiculturalism. Predominantly oils on canvas, I have also executed a number of Mural commissions and an outdoor mosaic at Grangewood Park SE27, commissioned by the Borough of Croydon. |
