Born 1974 in Northern Ontario, Canada, 4th daughter of German post-WWII immigrants. Moved to Southern Ontario at age 3, where hills, highways and nearby cities became a major influence. Lived 5 yrs in inner-city Toronto, before returning to Cobourg, where I currently live and create. Part of my spirit still resides in the Canadian Shield, while another part finds itself connected to the deeply urban. Currently, dusty roads and independent Canadian music satisfy my needs. |

The inspiration of Lifeforms Art sprouts from the natural landscape surrounding my home and studio. The growth structures of trees and other plant forms are of significant symbolic value. Sculptural objects from the Tree of Light collection represent the role these mighty plants play. They take on elaborate forms of vessels and candle shades made from various metals, stones, and natural materials such as wood and hemp. |

| Graduated 1999 from the Ontario College of Art and Design's department of jewelry/metalsmithing. Soon after, moved back to home town, where I opened my studio and showroom. I have exhibited in various art and craft shows in this region, from Toronto to Prince Edward County. | |
