My artwork is a unique mixture of observation, interpretation and invention, and combines traditional painting techniques with modern digital technology. I produce work in acrylic or oils on canvas, photomontages and computer generated digital images. My pictures are rich in detail and often feature trompe l'oeil (illusionistic) effects. The images I create go beyond representation, so that the ordinary can become extraordinary whilst the impossible can seem strangely familiar. |

| Inspired by my recent travels in the Mani region of the Southern Peloponnese, Greece. Giclee prints from the original painting also available as limited editions of 100, each one signed and authenticated by the artist. Covehithe-Erosion Zone 1

| One of a series of paintings of Covehithe in Suffolk. Constant erosion of the cliffs by the sea leaves a beach strewn with dead trees and other debris. The painting is a montage of painted layers where the bottom of the beach is torn along the bottom leaving a few stranded stones further emphasising the theme of erosion. Les & Len Before London 2012

| Les and Len are Newham Conservation Volunteers and they have carried out a lot of work in clearing up the area around the Bow Back Rivers - now part of the London 2012 Olympic site. They planted many trees and shrubs in the area incuding the willow tree in the centre backgound of the picture.
This is one of a series of paintings from my Lottery funded project - "Before London 2012" whereby I am recording the landscape of the london 2012 Olympic site in paintings plus portraits of and sound recordings of the memories, stories and experiences of older people who have lived or worked in the area.
