Bleeding Heart

| This painting was created under the influence of Oscar Wilde. One of my favorite quotes by him is "Give a man a mask, and he will tell the truth". I find this quote to be so appropriate for most people and situations. The woman in this painting is nude, except for a mask, and she feels free to expose her broken and bleeding heart, in the midst of a darkened room. She is also standing on her toes as if hoping to rise above her situation. |

One of a Kind Vintage Table

| This one of a kind table is made from glass, metal and some sort of particle board. It started out as a rather unattractive vintage table which I have refinished, and added original artwork of a blindfolded vintage automaton holding a globe of the world.

The Patron Saint of Tears

| The face of a woman with abstract tears, and a row of distressed crosses beneath her.
I love the idea of someone who watches over, and advocates for, the hurt, wounded and abused. Since there is no 'official' Patron Saint of Tears, i made one up because there should be! This work was created to look like an old religious icon, complete with distressed metal leaf crosses below the main image.

| An Oneironaut is an 'explorer of the dream world'. I am fascinated by sleep, dreams, life, death and what waits for us on the other side. This piece reflects my interest in these subjects, and gives a unique perspective on my views of life and what comes after. I also have an affinity with Death Masks, and would love to see a revival in this particular art form. This solid plaster masque is one in a series of 'Death Masques', and the first which has been shown on the web. |
