| “Eccentric Vision Drawing” was executed using the area of vision outside the focal point. Our focal point is very small and if you extend your arm straight ahead and give the “thumbs up” signal, and focus on your thumb, your thumbnail is about the size of your focal point. During the creation of Eccentric Vision drawings, the crayon tip was kept outside the focal point. Returning to the “thumbs up” example, if while focusing on your thumb you wave your other hand near the bottom of your peripheral vision, you’ll notice you can see the hand but not clearly. This is the part of vision Eccentric Vision drawings were created in. This area is in a location eccentric to the focal point, hence the title.
