The shown serie on this site is a part of the greater WORKS project. A serie acrylpaintings on canvas (200 x 200 cm) and a large serie of digital art, printed on fineart watercolorpaper (24 x 30 cm).

As a source of inspiration I used the (supposed) thoughts of someone as Simon the Pillarsaint. An ancient kind of ‘performer’. Sufferinged, thinked about solutions or perhaps only as a way of contemplation? Upstairs, on that pillar, gatterred impressions and information, while his act most going on. In this, postmodern, moment it seems that there is no other way for artists to manifest theirselves like that ancient saints. Each on his/her own way and with the most diverging and thinkable media. Busy with reflection, (re-)formulating and creating new horizons and spaces. This proces reflects the constant growing ‘WORKS’ project. As a reaction on the ‘environment’, from out myself, as an individual, against outside. Not only for the pictures but for the gesture. My own preferences for vivid colors and clear forms makes this project for what it is.
