I was born in Brooklyn, NY and brought up without a father in a depressed area of upstate New York.
it's all uphill from there.
Right now I'm living in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn and working in Manhattan as a technical designer for Coach.

I call myself a "realization artist" because I'm realizing my art through this electronic medium and it's options: photoplay, fiction, e-mail, video,sound-- even rumor!...
I like the idea of creating a network of fiction and fact which cannot be unwound easily. I happen to believe that the world of knowledge is usually quite like that (a labarynth of fiction, mirrors, rumors and occasional pockets of logic and fact), esp. history, news, biographies, and nutruition labels! |

This is a realization of a product I imagined while talking with a friend about how shockingly tacky religious objects can be -- how oblivious to meaning they often are. |
REVIEW 2
2007 Scoffolding, Boards, Spray Paint, House Paint Big |
|
On this tower which is seemingly precariously rigged, the artist has posted a lenthy text in various media.
Intended to read as a satiric version of the reviews he has received over the years, the piece still manages to be ambient and even stirring, providing a multi-layerd metaphor for creation and the ecomonic as well as social environments which comprise the very essence of large-scale, expensive conceptual art pieces. At once defiant and solicitous, “Review” seeks to provide a forum, both literally and figuratively, for a discussion of conceptural art.

| 教育程度与个人自传 |
I studied philosophy, art and literature in college and have my B.A. and M.A. degrees in those areas. I continue to study and make art.
I am also working on a novel called 'How To Talk About Art'. The novel discusses a lot of the art which you can see here and on my website.
My roster of artists on Quarterly Unrealized Art and in the novel are making objects which, I think, are just as valid and aesthetically thrilling as any I see in the galleries here in good ol' NYC. |
