Born in Los Angeles, CA April 10, 1979. I grew up in NYC and Los Angeles and lived in Italy for a while. Having to leave people and watching people leave has helped shape me as a person and as an artist. My work is about how transient relationships can be and the intimacy desired when their around. |

Brandy's images are a mix of European classicism infused with an underground avant-garde rebellion. She turns reality into a timeless fantasy. Self-taught , Brandy has been shooting since she was 18 years old. At 21 she moved to Torino, Italy where she lived for 3 years and began building a body of work. Italy responded with great enthusiasm to Brandy with gallery shows (such as the Paolo Tonin Gallery and the Instituto di Fotografia), magazine articles and the attention of influential members of the art community. |
