This work has proceeded in pouring rather than strokes. Through a process which has evolved over a period of time by in depth investigations of the idea of paint being used as a material rather than merely a medium; i have been sucessfully casting sheets of various paints. Within the work, the paint skin can potentially be a metaphor or act as an interface between the realm of subject and object; the skin being the subject and becoming an element of the support and the support being the object. |
