Fleming's work is primarily drawing and painting. The work explores the inherent power of mark-making and the fine difference setting it apart from writing as well as its interplay with layering. The relationship with color, opacity, edge and implication propose a visual narrative and a new utility. "A deal is struck between the immediacy of craft and the the slipperiness of the 'natural.'" |

| Fleming holds a degrees in Fine Arts as well as advanced degrees in Architecture and Design Studies. He has taught design studios and lead a number of theory seminars related to creativity and design. He has been painting for over 25 years and his work has appeared in a number of group and individual shows, executed commissions and is in several private collections. | |
