| I have been asked why the obsession or why the passion for this specific painting.(I started painting variations of this painting in 1996. The total collection consists of 122 paintings as of 2006). I wil call it neither. Concern would be more appropriate. My concern with light and light reflection. On this matter Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring is Sui generis. |
