Born in Montreal, Canada, Cynthia Edorh received her bachelor's degree in Photography from Concordia University. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Canada and the United States, including Get Reel Black Film Festival in Toronto, Galerie Clark in Montreal and Robert Miller Gallery in New York City. |

Cynthia's primary belief is that reality is shaped by varying perspectives. She finds herself preoccupied by the French Canadian and African identities that form her. Cynthia refers to the relationships that are constantly evolving between black/white, male/female, adult/child. She feels the need for self-representation. Cynthia intentionally situates her work between fiction and documentation to accentuate comparisons and address questions of authenticity and the origin of our own perceptions. |
