My early photography work explored multiple exposures. I was interested in the textures created by combining images. Later I explored similar themes through printmaking. At the same time I had been creating bead jewelry. I decided to further explore the multiple exposure themes through combining collage with wire wrapped jewelry. My current work involves creating jewelry with collage pendants, as well as creating collages with removable jewelry. |

A one inch by three inch piece of illustration board has been collaged with a textured purple metallic paper, edged with copper foil, and sealed with clear gloss medium. The pendant was then wrapped with copper wire and embellished with purple Czech pressed glass beads.
The necklace is a rope of purple glass seed beads with hand formed copper wire coils. It has been wrapped with copper wire and round purple glass beads. To connect to the pendant, three wire wrapped flat Czech glass beads in herringbone weave have been added. A hand formed copper wire clasp attaches to the pendant and completes the piece. 20 inches, pendant drop 3.25 inches. |

The base of each brooch is a laminate counter sample 1 3/4" x 2 5/8." The sample is collaged with paper, stickers, and other objects on both sides. The edges are bound with copper tape and then rubbed with an antiquing cream. The whole brooch is then given 3 coats of varnish. Each brooch hangs from a kilt pin and is embellished with charms and beads. The brooch can also be worn on a necklace. |

In the spring of 2000 I made a series of monoprints, and prints made from rubber stamps that I carved. The inspiration for this series was my cemetery photos. I have continued the series, and I have started to look to other sources for inspiration. In some instances I double printed, colored with marker, or drew onto the print. The prints made with rubber stamps can be made in multiple editions, although each print has its own unique variations. 4x6 inches. |
