Born in Minnesota USA '66, it became evident early on in life that Michelle Thelen was an artist. "I’ve been studying and creating all shapes and kinds of art for most of my life. Oil painting has taken hold of me for the past 17 years. Painting directly from nature on the spot 'plein air' out in the landscape is exhilarating!" |

My oil paintings range from fast & loose landscapes painted on-site to still lifes leaning toward the realist genre. My wide range of style and subject: landscape, still life, architecture, are all inspired by the great outdoors and all the wonder that fills the world. |
