I am an Art Director and Artist practicing in Montreal, Canada.
 |
| |
| About the Artist |
Besides emphasizing on aesthetics, my intent in my artwork is to directly document, analyze and question individuals' life styles and tendencies in society. Often, projects are multidisciplinary and combine various mediums such as design and photography. I am particularly interested in cooperating with other researchers in the arts and sciences.
Grants have allowed me to stay for study and work over long-term periods in Recife, Brazil, and Lisbon, Portugal, where I learned new languages and about other cultures and lifestyles. |

Locations. Montreal Places
2004 photography 50,8 x 40,6 cm |
|
Portraits of people who are part of my daily life in Montreal. Some of them are close friends, while others are simply acquaintances. I ask each model to choose an ideal location for their portrait. My intention is to document how different personalities are revealed through clothing, props, location and physiognomy. |

| Education and biography |
I graduated from the School of Graphic Design and Advertising in Munich, Germany in 1999 having specialized in Communications Design. After graduating I spent the first years working in Germany both as an employee for print and web agencies and as a freelancer. I am particularly interested in book design, typography, corporate branding and webdesign.
In 2005, I completed a Bachelor in Fine Arts, with a specialization in painting from the Italian Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, Italy. During these studies I also attended classes at Concordia University's (Montreal, Canada) photography and design department as well as at the University of Fine Arts in Lisbon, Portugal. I have been working within the illustration, photography and video mediums since. |
