Alexis Manheim

About the Artist

Alexis graduated from Stanford University in 1997 with a BA in Studio Art as well as a BA in International Relations. After graduation she went on to co-found and manage Madcapp Studios, a San Francisco based artist studio collective and event space where her studio was based until 2004. She is heavily influenced by jazz and blues music as well as "circles, alchemy, carnivorous plants, and raw pigments." She also makes many of her own pastels for her paintings in her studio. Alexis' work can be found in numerous private collections from San Francisco to Stockholm.
