Mi plastic arts project is based on an observation process practiced on what we daily come across along our quotidian life. The objective resides in identifying images, in capturing and representing them while seeking after a new meaning; to Re-treat the image. The process consists in bringing a banal image into paint, an image which I borrow from places and surroundings where it normally would not be regarded as Art. In this very moment I act as a decoder, taking the image and rewriting it (retreating it), giving it a new meaning, turning it into paint.

Paints resulting from this can be regarded as the result of a hybridizing process where electronic image and plastic art are brought together; a media-hybrid between electronic images and plastic images where I, as observer, give a plastic look to an electronic environment. It is of high importance to underline here that my role as mediator between media is not to merely copy an existing image, but to go beyond that simple action: I re-treat it through my personal look, creating a particular image out of an otherwise “insignificant” one. The artist, acting as decoder (for he constructs an object upon information he receives and organizes), decodes an object and creates a new one…just as a media mediator does. What sense will the spectators give to the exposed images? Is the spectator a mediator, a decoder?
