Chris Partington was born in Ilfracombe, England in 1949 and painted English landscape in the 1960s and 70s. Chris has been living in New Zealand since 1984, his studio and home are situated in the bush and he now paints mainly New Zealand Landscape in acrylics on canvas. |

Chris Partington paints in a realist style not to represent the landscape as a photograph does, but to portray the feeling of the beautiful and often lonely places within the New Zealand landscape. The paintings in many cases are a comment on situation, tradition or belief. |

| Chris Partington has a Diploma in Art and Creativity been exhibiting with the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts since 1999 and has had Solo exhibitions at the Michael Fowler centre, Academy Galleries and the Art Place. His Paintings are included in collections in New Zealand and the UK. | |
