| About the Artist |
Some of my art is influenced by the medieval art that I research in my academic studies. Some of it, also by the Orthodox milieu in which I grew up, although I accept it aesthetically, not theologically. |

| Education and biography |
EDUCATION:
I graduated both art history and sociology in 2003 at the Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Then I did an MA in Medieval Studies at the Central European University, Department of Medieval Studies, Budapest, Hungary, where I am currently enrolled for PhD. In my research I focus on medieval popular art and culture, especially on stove tiles, analyzing motifs such as popular fables, monsters, erotic scenes, but also depictions of saints and religious symbols.
