| About the Artist | |
Currently I am working on a series of paintings, which focus on notions of comfort and aging. The images for this new series of padded paintings are taken from mail order catalogs geared towards older women such as “Old Pueblo Traders” and “Dr. Leonard’s”. I have become increasingly interested in the products that these catalogs have to offer, especially those, which aid in making life easier and more comfortable. |

| Renella Rose Champagne is a character that I have developed for the past 14 years. I have developed several projects through the guise of “Renella”, a ficticious wedding in 1993 and a lingerie showroom in 1996. Today Renella has taken on the role of struggling singer/songwriter and performs regularly with “Chablis”, her one-man band. |
