I was born in Zeven, Germany but I have lived almost all my life in Australia. I now live in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, about an hour and a half from Sydney.

| About the Artist |
I create digital images. For me, this is all about the image. The image as stimulus and the image as perception.
I am about exploring the tenuous and arbitrary link between stimulus and perception; sign and signified, form and meaning. For this reason, I am concentrating on the elements of visual communication; line, shape, texture, colour, movement, etc. I focus on the composition of these elements.
Many, if not most times I allow the image to take me where it wants to go. Meaning will come for me at some point. If not, I abandon the process. But, ultimately, it's not about my meanings but those of the viewer.
For that reason, I try to avoid imposing one absolute meaning on the work. The greater the possibilities for meaning, the better. If in the end, people can look at my work and derive some personal meanings from it that's great. What would be even better is if new meanings continue to emerge for an observer over time.
