| About the Artist |
As a sculptor I have established a familiarity with specific materials and modes of construction. Since 1996 when I began crocheting as a means of making 3-dimensional forms it has remained as a constant in my work. The materials are from the familiar territory of the seafarer and the homemaker, i.e., materials including tarred hemp, burlap, fishing twine, crochet cotton, and tools such as the netting needle, corking spool, crochet and rug hooks. |
