My work is inspired by technology and its effects on culture. In particular, the paradigms of: how cultures use technology to adjust to and overcome the natural environment, and how cultures change and adapt to new technologies and their resulting environments. I feel my role as an artist, is to record and contextualize the imagery and forms that I experience and also to try and illustrate the culture’s ideological aspirations and alternatively its misconceptions.

The photographic print series is comprised of two major constructs; one conceptual and the other compositional that work to explore manifestations of humanity ranging from grotesque mortality to sublime divinity. The conceptual construct documents and investigate aviation artifacts from engineering, political, anthropological and sociological positions. The compositional construct on the other hand is illustrated through three primary components: shape, surface & elements.


The sculpture series is a further abstraction of my photography with the addition of a Z axis. Designed with pencil and 3D CAD software, the works are constructed from brazed steel rods, canvas and pop-rivets.
