In France for 10 years now, Marie-Helene paints animals, Her intensity of passion is really bigger than it was in Holland. Its not only the animal she represents by art on paper, her pleasure is to translate their behaviour in their environnement, the mouvements, their sign language,hastiness, their pure beauty,the poses comical. Their likeness with the human appears in her sketches, this excercise its the inspiration, which is the emotion and the fascination for her. |

| studied at the Artschool in Rotterdam,certificated in 1965. Next she went sketching in the Artschools Academie Julian and la grande Chaumière in Paris. From 1967 till 1994 she worked as a stylist in Amsterdam for a lot of magazines and as a costumedesigner for the filmindustry and television In the meantime from 1980 she is starting with waterpaintings with the first exhibition in 1988 in Amsterdam. a part of her production is devoted to nudes after sketching living models. the other part is devoted to animals. And so she starts with ink and water (lavis). In 2000 she moved to Buis les Baronnies (Drôme Provençale) and in 2002 she has the first exhibition, followed by many others.
