I was born in Cambridgeshire in 1977. I am a digital artist and film maker. My starting point is reality, either the urban surroundings in which I live, or the natural world I escape to. Using digital processes I gather as much information as possible from a particular scene, often taking hundreds of shots. I then meticulously cut, paste and build what was real into my own imagined worlds. The worlds that emerge depict urban scenes, empty but for the hollowed shells of buildings, cities suspended in the stars, or the British countryside, seemingly real and at the same time untruthful in its beauty. |

My work is informed by extensive experience of working within documentary, conceptual and commercial studio based photography. My familiarity with a variety of photographic techniques contributes to the construction of alternative realities which require me to create invisible joins and hyper real detail. |

| I have been exhibiting and selling my photography nationally since 2003, including exhibitions in London, at The Dray Walk Gallery (2007) and at the Old Trumam Brewery, as part of Fotofeast (2006). In Manchester I have exhibited at the Contact Theatre (2003), the Temisis Gallery(2003) and the Troubador Gallery (2005 to 2007). My work has also been shown regularly by property developers in the Manchester area since 2005. | |
