I am a medium artist. I have no idea what I'm going to paint or write. My work is very fast because I open channels for the art to come through. Sometimes I feel like I am painting a language, not a message, but a language. I might understand it, or maybe the person the painting is for will understand it. It is for that reason that I love what I do, no matter how much I think I know about ancient cultures or the urban art community the actual act of creation floors me every time. Every single time. I love being a part of creation.

My artistic career began as a writer. I performed spoken word and became a huge fan of underground hip-hop, following emcee battles and listening for the amazing song of expression urban art gives so freely to anyone who is willing to listen. In 1996 I began noticing a shift in energy around me. National Geographic, Newsweek and even Time magazine began publishing articles and images of archeological finds that have been unearthed recently. These archeological finds, mainly of goddesses, were popping up everywhere. But what news reporters, archeologists and historians didn't know is that the idea of the sacred feminine wasn't just re-entering the intellectual communities as something to discover, it had already began resurfacing with in the urban art community. The longing to connect with the sacred feminine, as I witnessed it, had already began in the collective consciousness of the masses. I was hearing about the goddess or "SHE" or the name of one of 10,000 goddess in spoken word or in the underground hip-hop scene. On my way to work I would pass murals of Aztec goddesses or graffiti written like ancient scribes.
All of my work is about the reemergence of the sacred feminine in our times.

After majoring in sociology at San Francisco University, I worked for a special branch of the YMCA called URBAN SERVICES. I ran all kinds of community programs and loved non-profit work but my desire to know more about how the reemergence of the sacred feminine would directly effect women began to grow. I left my job and before I began my Masters Degree in Humanities/ Women’s Spirituality I traveled to the Mediterranean to see for myself, some of the archeological finds unearthed in recent years. For three more years I studied archeomythology and sacred texts, not to become an archeologist, although I have been to some sites, or to be a scholar. I wanted to merge my consciousness with our times and times past through art and writing. I wanted to create a platform, a channel, a vehicle for the very delicate re awakening of the sacred feminine.
