I first began experimenting with collage in high school in an effort to break away from what my peers were doing. I soon found it to be a theraputic and satisfying process that resulted in striking images I really enjoyed. (And much to my surprise, a medium that's not just for humans under the age of five!)

My inspirations range anywhere from the twisted beauty of Schiele to the frank openess of Kahlo, in the erotic photography of Tracy Lee and Aaron Hawks to the colourful burlesque stage shows of Dita Von Teese. If someone were to ask me what my art is about I'd have to say a lot of it addresses the media machine and the pursuit of physical perfection. I also enjoy breaking the structure of the face and body down into tiny pieces of detail, encouraging the audience and myself to seek what's beneath physical presentation.
