Johannes Schimpelsberger was born in 1977 in Steyr, Austria and grew up in a near village - Kronstorf. From 1995 to 2000 he studied law in Linz (Austria) and Castellon (Spain). Since then he was working as an IT-Lawyer in Austria and Spain. He worked for companies like Agilent Technologies, and the Austrian Federal centre of Technology. Then he worked for the EU-Commission at an assistance Project for the Albanian Justice in Tirana, Albania (http://www.euralius.org.al). Recently he is engaged by the European Organization on astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere (ESO) in Munich, Germany (http://www.eso.org)
Projects and Exhibitions
He founded a virtual art initiative with the internetpage www.adequart.com, making the design and selecting the artists for this project. Thanks to his wife Lidia Dominguez, who is working as an informatic he could launch this site by the year 2003. Since then continuousely it grew with new artists composing a circle of artists which expose in the web. He had several exhibitions in Barcelona and Vienna like in the calle PI Margall 2003 (Spain), the Gallery Medio 2002 (Austria), the Black power Point Arts of the OeVP 2005 in Vienna (Austria) and the international Arts fair in Vigo 2006. Actually he works in the cycle of repeating food, which shall be an integrative part of his view of "banal" art.
