| About the Artist |
Dolphins… the pictorial journey became with dolphins representation, always meaning the spiritual and positive part of mankind. Works are abstracts but a small and incisive figurative element often appears. Many interpretations are possible: the main artist interpretation and many others, purposely hidden, to be discovered at the right time. Is the artist challenging the observer to do it? Yes….and the key is to recognize and follow the recurrent shift in the author’s poetics from our reality to another reality….. a following, mysterious and revealing reality….. |

Sunset of Moon
2003 oil on wooden board base: 98 cm height: 53 cm |
|
Made up of three distinct parts, joint by two thin aluminium bars. Clearly, it’s an abstract work, but the observer immediately perceive a multicoloured fish hanged over a strip of ocean. Then, the observer sees something that looks like the marine creature’s eye… maybe it’s an eye, but…. And what about the work’s title? The observer looks over and discover that the sphere in relief is a “moon sunset”. |
Mysteries
2006 oil on wooden board base: 115 cm height: 70 cm |
|
A red sunset between rocks: nature again, once again the nature results sublime and great in front of us. And a heron is soaring high in the magic and enigmatic sky of a declining day. |
The two spheres
2003 oil on wooden board diameter: 70 cm |
|
A surrounding work fully of inner inquiries. Two spheres, the perfection of nature’s spirit that looks at us and shows us his immensity compared with our seeming absence. |
Equilibriums
2003 oil on wooden board base: 120 cm height: 80 cm |
|
In this work the light blue, the movements, marine perhaps, the charm, but above all the search for the perfect balance (equilibrium) between shape and content. Nothing, neither a line of the drawing nor a colour shade could be modified. |
Aenigma
2003 oil on wooden board base: 80 cm height: 70 cm |
|
Standing in front of this work, it’s inevitable to be attracted, delighted by… it’s one of artist’s preferred works. Every part of this work, every chromatic detail fly the observer toward the center, the extreme mystery, the revealing deeper light that invites to come in, toward the mirage of fascinating, enlightening explorations |
Harmony
2002 oil on wooden board base: 130 cm height: 40 cm |
|
There are three dolphins: three is the number bound to the perfection and accuracy artist’s poetics. The dolphins appears and disappears with soft harmony surrounded by and melted in marine colours: dolphins are following one another and dancing like sublime notes along an ocean which recalls a musical score’s line. |
The door
2006 oil on wooden board base: 28 cm height: 42 cm |
|
The door, a memory of the Doors and, probably, of their doors… different doors perhaps: this work portray the recurrent shift in author’s poetics from our reality to another reality, a following, mysterious and revealing reality. |
Light of fire
2003 oil on wooden board base: cm 120 height: cm 80 |
|
In this skilfully drew and carved work the artist wants to express to extremes the might and the power of one essential subject of his poetics: the light |
In the sunset
2004 oil on wooden board base: 72 cm height: 20 cm |
|
This artwork is a typical portrayal of the artist’s poetics. The charm of the nature, the magic of a sunset: sunset’s mysteries revealed by flamingo’s mystic flight, symbolizing men’s spiritual side |
Lunar emersion
2004 oil on wooden board base: 85 cm height: 45 cm |
|
The magical flight rises slightly and serene from the depths of the human soul towards the infinite spaces searching for the true essence guided by the moon that, emerging from the dark space as a lighthouse for sensitive souls, reflects and spreads the light of truth. |

| Education and biography |
For several years pictorial art has been absolutely dominating in his mind. He took part in several collective pictorial exhibitions and in 1995 he had his first personal exhibition in Cremona, at the Cremonesi Artists Association.
The first very important stage was in Bologna in September 1997 at the Trimarchi Modern Art Gallery, where he staged an exhibition supported by the Primo Levi University.
Roberto Bozzi has exhibited in 1998 at Grasselli Palace, coming back therefore to Cremona, the city where he lives and works. Here, on May 1998, supported by the municipality of Cremona he presented together with the pianist Alessio Gila at the Cittanova Palace, “Colours and Sounds”, a fascinating meeting between his new pictorial inspiration and the piano impressionism of C. Debussy.
On March 1999 the government of Ancona province invited Roberto Bozzi to open a prestigious personal show at the Atelier of Arco Amoroso: the vernissage was presented by the town councillor for the Arts.
In April 2000 Roberto Bozzi was once again at the impressive “Atelier of Arco Amoroso”, among various artists in an exhibition that yearly evokes the most significant stages of the exhibition seasons in the province of Ancona.
During summer 2000 the artist took successfully part in the Expo Arte “Jesolo 2000”, an important show held at the Congress Building of Jesolo Lido.
During summer 2001 he prepared a personal exhibition at the Art Gallery “Quarto Platano”, in the historical center of Forte dei Marmi, moving a refined and attentive public to a great enthusiasm.
After other two one man shows (Cremona 2002 - Bologna 2003), Roberto Bozzi was invited on March 2004 by Giuliana Calogiuri Consales, President of “Mediterranea”, Academy for the study of the Mediterranean Civilization from the Adriatic sea to the Straits, to open in Ancona a personal exhibition at the Polytechnic University of the Marche.
In 2004 the artist was asked again to show in Forte dei Marmi. The Art Gallery “Quarto Platano” organized his second personal exhibition for the whole summer.
In May 2005 Roberto Bozzi presented his works in Sirmione, in a refined show set up at the Civic Room, and in the summer he came back to Versilia at the Barbara Paci Art Gallery in Pietrasanta.
He is at present considering the setting up of three new personal exhibitions in Cremona, Lucca and Australia.
