| 关于此艺术家 |
My interests straddle two different and often separate worlds: technology and fine arts. With formal graduate and undergraduate study in drawing and painting, I am a painter and printmaker currently working with digital media, what I call call "digital printmaking. With addition training and experience I became a technologist or, to be more precise, a software developer, a field that although mathematical, is much like art in that it also relies on thought, craft, and creativity.
My digital prints are hand drawn using a stylus on a pressure sensitive digital drawing tablet connected to a computer. Editions are printed on archival artist papers with inkjet printers. Here are a few of my digital prints.
My software currently is focused on instructional technologies. Using a LAMP environment and Drupal, Photoshop, Google maps, data visualization tools, and whatever else is at hand, I work to help faculty build web sites that enable teaching and learning as well as exhibiting research and data for scholars, researchers, educators, and the public. |
