"Let the beauty we love be what we do" Rumi.
Light is my central subject,and a love of paint is foremost. My paintings are intensely autobiographical, and the drive is for authenticity. I start from photograghs, and then they are transformed in the act of painting.The use of the triptych, the movements of the brush, and the decisions taken on the picture plane become conduits of feeling. I believe painting has a spiritual dimension and the power to heal.
