| About the Artist |
My practice as an artist is fairly cross disciplinary, although I was trained as a painter in Scotland and painting is my familiar touchstone, I love to experiment with new things and communicate my ideas visually through whatever medium is ideally matched to the content. Using a sketchbook is usually the starting-point, it is full of ideas, notes, scraps and sketches. I am Scottish and lived there until recently, Scotland takes great pride in its landscape history and I think this is the reason why I think about our landscapes so much. I like to explore mans relationship with the land through my artworks, it has taken me on a very interesting journey so far. |
