I was born in Denver, Colorado and spent my childhood summers on a mountain valley ranch. I have lived in Oklahoma City & New York city and spent months in Europe. I lived in Belmont Shore and now live in Palm Springs, California. |
| About the Artist | |
I studied under William Hartley and although I am essentially a self taught artist ... was also tutored by the Synchronist painter Paul Ihrig. I received 5 Gold-Key awards in 5 different media in the National Scholastic Art Competition in Pennsylvania and have had 2 one man shows. I have exhibited at the Fine Arts Center in Taos, N.M., won the purchase prize at the Central City Opera Festival at Denver's Gilpin County Art Museum and am in private collections in California, Illinois, New York & Texas. I am in the book California Art Review. I had early success as an Abstract Expressionist, but have moved on to Southwestern hard-line abstractions, clasically realistic landscapes and mostly academic still life florals in the Dutch/Flemish tradition. |
