Born 1953 in Richmond, Virginia, USA; began painting at age 10. Used art as "therapy" while pursuing a successful marketing career; had an epiphany at the age of 50 and resigned all marketing clients; and now paint full time.

| 关于此艺术家 |
Next to creating my art, I love selling my art. It's a confirmation that people enjoy it, hopefully as much as I do. After supporting myself with a successful career in marketing, I now have plenty of fodder for my artwork, which often reflects life's quirks, favorite places and humorous situations. I am not a fan of "angry" art, but want to help the art viewer feel part of what's going on the image. I am challenged by new materials and processes, and admit that my favorite artwork is the 3-dimensional paintings (many have body parts or other elements protruding from the canvas; several included on this site). |

Paon Decoratif
2006 91w x 145h |
|
The sculpted peacock (studded with Swarovski crystals and blown-glass beads) was inspired by a flamboyant 95 year old woman who drinks martinis for lunch and raises peacocks and Papillon dogs in upstate New York. The handmade frame has acrylic side panels that are reverse painted like peacock feathers. The transparent sides allows light to enter and illuminate the glass beads on the tail feather. |
Dancing Fools
2007 76w x 84h |
|
Inspired by friends who like to ballroom dance, this is a kinetic painting (turn the crank and the heads, arms and legs "dance"). The head and limbs are on MDF and sculpted with Apoxie clay. |

| 教育程度与个人自传 |
| Received a Bachelor of Arts at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA in 1975. Began working for Anheuser-Busch's theme park division during college, and turned that into a career in marketing (14 years with A-B, then I ran my own business from 1989 - 2003). At the young age of 50, I decided to pursue my life's love of art full time. I have had near sell-out exhibits since then, mostly in the Williamsburg area. |
