I was born in Staffordshire in 1984 and loved art from an early age. I feel that my art is about my need to create and also share with others how I regard the world. |

I have always had an interest in portraiture, which has been my favorite subject since I was at school. I love manipulating drawing tools, such as graphite, to capture the character and mood of a face whilst simultaneously conveying my own emotions and perceptions within the portrait. Recently, however, I have also started to develop my oil painting skills to create a series of landscape/seascape paintings. Within the landscapes my paint becomes quite impressionistic and I become absorbed with experimenting with the colour and the texture of the paint. |
