born in Siracusa, Italy 23 november 1967.
my parents had a great influence on my love and passion for art.
since i was very young, we travelled a lot. In whole Europe, where i discovered many of the great artists and their works that inspired me so much.
then in Middle East, where i found how different and still with a common background are cultures of other countries: China, India, Vietnam, Cambogia (the astonishing ancient city of Angkor).

I began to take photograph when i was very young. my father showed me how to print in dark room, and at the age of 13, for my birthday, he gave me my first camera, a Nikkormat.
I always used Nikon cameras, for 35mm. and then, when i was ready for it, my beloved Hasselblad 500c.
Portraits are what i like more.
I have much of respect for great landscape photographers like Ansel Adams and, in these years, Gabriele Basilico, but for me the human being has always been the main source of inspiration!
Richard Avedon, Diane Arbus, Mary Ellen Mark, Nan Goldin, August Sander, Ugo Mulas.
these and others great masters like Man Ray are my great inspiration. and Michelangelo with his unfinished works (La Pietà Rondanini, I Prigioni), Caravaggio and Chaim Soutine.
my first work was about bodies in movement: Dance.
i took pictures of ballets by Martha Graham Dancer Company, Maurice Bejart Company, Carolyn Carlson and others.
then i began a reportage about street artists and their way of life: "Liberi Viandanti".
now i'm working on a portfolio named "In Corpore", mixing tradional photography with new media, exploring the way our perception of human body is changing.
I like the works of Marina Abramovic, Stelarc and Matthew Barney.
