Worked and traveled all over India for about twenty years. This provided the opportunity to see and comprehend the depth and colors of multi ethnic and vast India in its true spirit. His exhibitions at Guwahati, Asom and Trivandrum, Kerala were widely appreciated by the erudite as well as the public. Most of the paintings are theme based and a few are abstract. The main subjects dealt with are love of virgin nature, oriental philosophy and the rare ethnic ambience of remote corners of India. |

| The subtle nature of pristine life pattern seen in the north east corners of India is expressed here. The Buddhist culture and way of life which is in total harmony with the nature is very unique. |

Kavu – Vilakku

| While men destroyed forest for their livelihood, they always feared a black lash from the nature. So they worshiped nature in many forms. In Kerala, people used to keep a small fraction of the forest intact near their houses for worship. It’s called “Kavu”. Idols of snakes would also be placed among the flora. At every “Thrisandhya”, the time of change from day to night, people light a “Vilakku” (lamp) inside the Kavu. The creepers, the darkness inside, the strange silence and the dim light on the snake idols induce fear which leads to devotion. |
