1952, Boston, Western Hemisphere. Homeless for almost 30 years since my arrests as a "non-Indian" vendor at the Museum of New Mexico, I am an artist at odds with modern Humanity. The reverse bigotry and the culture of the control of culture in the american artocracy gave me no choice but to rely on Western Civilization exclusively. Living on the streets, regular friction with the police, being the poorest man in the world's wealthiest nation has left me an exile from american heritage. |

I've lived a quite isolated existence, not talked much about art, consequentlly don't even have much of a vocabulary to discuss my art. I try to appeal for the purpose of communication. I try to make a good looking picture. I try to give it a twist. I try to keep it alive. I create for the independent art consumer and not for the institution. |
