Although I was born in the state of Maine, I never lived there. Within 5 days of my birth I had traveled to three states. My mom was very artistic, she told us great stories, drew and sewed a lot. She also did acting and singing in plays. I lived on Cape Cod in MA as a young girl where I saw many artists painting along the seashore. Later we lived on the coast of CA. I loved the ocean and mountain views I saw daily. Many times I would get my little camera and go out into the woods in hopes of catching a wild boar on film. The one time one got within ten feet of me, I forgot all about the camera and ran, the other way. People tell me they can see the east coast and the west coast influences in my art. |

Not long after graduating at the top of my class as a Business Mgmt major and Marketing minor, I started marketing art for a friend and then for myself. I then went to work for a very distinguished Southern artist Guy Lipscomb, where I learned abstract art principles and handled all his marketing. Later I was on the road selling framed prints to major retailers for a company from Los Angeles, CA. I saw great art on a daily basis and learned and developed my art history and recognition skills. |

| From the mid 90s, I have shown my art work throughout the US and before the end of the century had also shown my work in the Netherlands and Germany. I have been juried into several shows in NYC. My artwork has been represented by the Ward Nasse Gallery in NYC since 1999. In the past year I have been in fifteen art shows, three of which were solo shows, primarily in SC. | |

| I have three shows lined up for 2008 and one for 2009. I also have put together a show with Jean Ehler called "A Pair of Jeans", which we hope to show throughout Southern United States. We are open to bringing the show out to an international audience through the internet and possibly create a smaller show for the London and European markets. We will explore our similarities even though she works in a realistic way and I work in an abstract style. | |
