| Born in Plymouth in the UK, I Grew up towards the end of the apartheid era in South Africa, I studied Graphic Design in Cape Town whilst also working in a Tattoo Studio doing a lot of drawing with bright colour, I spent a lot of my youth with my best friend Ryan Van Rensburg (an artist himself and son of artist Derric Van Rensburg, one of South Africa's Greatest Impressionists) exploring the Southern African Bush and being unaware of the dramatic colours and scenes before me of which I took for granted at the time and have now come out in some of my work. I have also studied Commercial Lithographic Printing at Plymouth College of Art & Design in the UK in 2002. I am a full time Sign Maker and run my own Sign and Print business in the South Hams, an area of outstanding beauty in South West England. | |
