Worldwide emigrations have become one of the most serious problems that humanity faces today. Million human beings move towards new regions where they hope to find economic, social well-being or peace.

At the moment I am working on a photographic series which documents the act or phenomenon in which a group of ants move in mass, towards a piece of bread. Actually emigrants like the ants, have colonized almost any space of ground in our planet. This fact can be perceived as an act of "invasion" to new grounds, new ways, in search of the "bread" of every day.

In this photographic series under the topic, Invasions: "Our daily bread” #2, I focus in the emigration most known by us in Puerto Rico; the emigration towards the United States.

I represent this by means of the use of subtle symbols and daily materials. The target is to use the delicacy as element of expression; expressing poetically such a controversial topic nowadays. With this work I do not try to judge the emigration as correct or incorrect. I leave this role in the hands of the spectator.
