After years of working as a fashion designer, Jon van der Drift is now focusing on new directions her work has taken her, namely textile design. She has always had a strong interest in designing new and unusual fabrics. Even as a fashion designer, she invented new fabrics like the hi-tec molded seat of rubber trousers. Her current creative process takes her back to basics, to natural fibers for sophisticated textile 'paintings' and over the top luxury carpets. |

| DETEX: Certificate of Textile Art academy: Gerrit Rietveld, Amsterdam and Hoge School voor de Kunsten, Utrecht Interior pattern design: Vogue, Amsterdam View on Carpets:Cobot, Gent - Belgium. Jon van der Drift designed a haute couture carpet named “the BIC Swarovski” with 33.000 Swarovski crystals. It is a cooperation between B.I.C.-carpets, Swarovski and the designer.
