| 1968 Born in Beijing 1999 Fine Arts Graduate, China Art Academy 2003 Photographer Random Thoughts on Photography “To see the world in a grain of sand” – From the Buddha’s Sukhavati Vyuha Sutra Photography has taken me on endless journey made up of endless images, from the time I first got hold of an old Rangefinder camera ten years ago. Each photograph is my attempt at a dynamic testament to a unique encounter with the world around me. It signals a quiet greeting: “Hello-Goodbye.” Photography continues to change the world into an “image-text world,” filled with reproductions of predestined relationships. Yet, I know that an image never exists in a moment in time alone, just as a speck of sand is hardly noticed, “the decisive moment” never come.. I have no idea whether a finished work of photographs is able to express some isolated meaning, just as a pronounced utterance is but an endless copy of an echo attempting expression in the silence of space.
