I am a Washington, DC native, and have been working with glass as a sculptural medium for the past 25 years. Co-Founder of the Washington Glass School, my work is in the permanent collections of a number of museums, including the Smithsonian's American Art Museum and the Mint Museum. I was named ‘Outstanding Emerging Artist for Washington, DC’ in 2003 and was one of OUT Magazine’s 100 People of the Year in 2004. I was the subject of recent articles in American Style and Sculpture magazines, as well as the Washington Post and Times newspaper reviews. |

| This interactive piece features a camera, so that as the viewer approaches the work…they see themselves in the lcd screen.
At the same time a motion detector inside senses the viewer’s presence, and triggers an audio wave of an Imam calling you to prayer. Recorded while I was teaching in Istanbul.

Purple Dream Box

| This triptych piece features 3 globes resting on a single wall mounted box. The cast tops are a bed, an open door, and a melted clock….all dream symbols.
The videos in this piece consist of multiple images which cycle thru every 3 seconds in all 3 globes.
While some of the images are disparate and surreal, there is a commonality of a moving train and blinking eye which ties all images together. |

Life Everlasting

| The symbols of everlasting life sit on top….Krishna’s hand holding an Egyptian Lotus. The video shows the all knowing eye of God…continually looking onto our lives, reminding us we are not alone. |
