The things that I make are often spontaneous and rarely follow one specific theme. Generally I will use whatever I have
at hand to produce my work, finding that sometimes the most basic methods are the most effective at getting an idea across.
A lot of my work uses papers and materials that people use everyday, and are often A4 size or smaller. I enjoy the idea
of creating something out of the bits and pieces that people disregard day to day, making images or compositions
that seem familiar.
I try to incorporate a lot of low-tech, simple methods like cutting and sticking, colouring and pattern, as well as polaroids
and photographs from an instamatic camera. This, I believe, questions the value of art, and brings a certain quaint
and personal intonation to my work |
