| The lunchtime project aims to track a small cultural phenomenon; the working break. Observational drawings depict emancipated workers sat atop benches, crowded together in near office picnic spots; temporarily freed from the daily office drawl. Benches, carrier bags and the muddled facial expressions of being half free, half tied to going back to work are reoccurring motifs. Drawn with pen, these pictures mock a decorative aesthetic to camouflage the subject matter. |
