| 关于此艺术家 |
I have a way of capturing the poetry of a moment in time. In seeing a subjects inner beauty
whether my subject matter is beautiful or ugly. I create powerful photographs that inspire,
motivate, thrill and delight my audience.
My portraits show the full range of human emotions from sad to glad; from joy to fear or anger.
People seem to trust me and allow me inside which creates a sense of intimacy. This gives my
portraits a kind of power of their own whether I am shooting a personality or an ordinary
person living out their dreams. I take pride in the fact that my subjects are eclectic and how
each photograph is as different as the subjects themselves. Yet there is an invisible thread that
connects my work together and makes it recognizable as mine; it is the ability to create photographs
that captivate the emotions and imagination of my audience. My strength is being able to reach people
on a conscious level and have my photographs become embedded in their memories.
My desire is to work outside of my comfort level, on the razor’s edge of my ability. I enjoy the
challenges of creating an eclectic body of work. My portfolio represents only a portion of the work
I have produced that I was proud of creating. It is representative of the quality of the work
I am able to produce but is not meant to be confused with being the only kind of work I am able
to create. I view these works as a milestone of where I was at that point in time in my career but,
not where I will ultimately be winding up.
Thanking you for your valuable time,
Erik Beck
